The Buggy girls send luscious 'workshop' mail art

We had lots of fun at the mail art workshop.  Sarah and Charlotte were visiting from Fairfield NY and were drafted in to make mail art.  Although there was a little talking, as you would expect when 15 people gather around a long table, there was lots of quiet, contemplation as people found what they wanted to say about the sea, as evident in these pieces!

'Wild Blackberry Bushes from Cranberry Island' - Wini Smart

In case you didn't know, here on Cranberry we are gearing up for BERRY DAY. You can learn more about Cranberry and it's name here: http://www.cranberryisles.com
When deciding on the focus of this mail art call, I had to juggle the interests of two places, on two continents and to tie them together in a meaningful way… In the end we decided to focus on what the two places had in common, the sea, and to tie the Cranberry show to Berry Day.
Wini is an island resident and an artist, so am delighted that she sent me this oversized postcard (nearly letter size) with this delicate watercolour of another of the Cranberry berries.  Thank you Wini!

INVITE to opening of Berry Maritime Mail Art Exhibition!
